Overview
Process
Through long‑term collaborations with producers, extension partners, government agencies, and industry leaders, we investigate the social, technical, and environmental factors that influence technology use in real‑world agricultural systems. Our approach blends advanced statistical modeling, machine learning and data‑science techniques, and in‑depth qualitative methods to generate insights that are both rigorous and actionable. By integrating survey analytics, ethnography, participatory research, and predictive modeling, we identify the barriers, drivers, and enabling conditions that shape technology adoption at scale.
Results
This work has delivered measurable impact by strengthening trust in digital and AI‑enabled tools, improving their relevance and usability for on‑the‑ground decision‑making, and clarifying pathways for responsible adoption. By centering transparency, co‑design, and evidence‑driven evaluation, Agropod’s technology‑adoption research helps establish the foundation for long‑term resilience, equitable access, and sustainable innovation in agriculture.
